1. Materials: Purchase 1/4 yard of dark blue polka dot print rather than 1/8 yard. The Border instructions should read: 2. Border: Using (1) WOF strip from each print make an 8-strip panel in the order shown. (Make 4 8-strip panels) Sew the short ends of each panel together, matching seams, to make a long panel. Crosscut the long panel into (2) 37" lengths and (2) 46" lengths. Mark the middle on each side of the quilt center. Mark the middle on each light green polka dot side of the 8-strip panels. Pin the 46" 8-strip panels, with right sides together, to the sides of the quilt center, matching the marks. Pin the 37" 8-strip panels, with right sides together, to the top and bottom of the quilt center, matching the marks. Sew, starting and stopping 1/4" from each corner. Refer to mitering in the General Directions; miter the corners. |
